This is initially a 3 – 6 Month Temporary Role
The main purpose is to provide engineering drawings and documentation of product and machinery.
You will need to be an experienced, self-sufficient mechanical designer. Someone who can be assigned engineering drawings and need minimal supervision. You will also be proficient in Solid Works 2009.

You will have had experience in working with high precision mechanical equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

1. Complete model design & detail engineering drawings
2. Revise, document, model,
3. Maintain documentation through drawing revision. Create and maintain complete documentation and revision
history and control.
4. Make modifications to existing plant and equipment. Design and document changes and new assemblies,
5. Complete Bill of materials, issue purchase requisitions,
6. Modify and document changes to facilities. Maintain maintenance of same.
7. Comply with G24i Policy at all times, including and not limiting to:
• G24i Employment Policies
• G24i Health & Safety Policy and Guidelines
• G24i Quality Policy

SELECTION CRITERIA
Candidates will be judged on the basis of the following criteria and their application should address each point to show how their experience and skills meet the criteria.

ESSENTIAL – you must have the experience with the following:
• Engineering drawings
• High precision components
• Component handling systems
• Machine guarding
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques
• Fabrication design & detail
• Jigs and Fixtures design & detail
1. Minimum of a HND – HNC
2. Demonstrated creation of engineering drawings of high precision components
3. Demonstrated knowledge and use of engineering documentation system.
4. Solid Works 2009
