G24i Wins BCE Premier Product Award

01 July 2008
G24 Innovations (G24i) has won the Premier Product Award at the prestigious Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards. The Rt. Hon Pat McFadden, Minister of State for Employment Relations, presented the solar pioneer with the award for its next generation Dye-Sensitized Thin Film technology at a ceremony at London’s Lincoln Centre. Other winners on the day included ASDA, AGFA, and Innocent Drinks.

Established by Sir Peter Parker in 1975, the BCE Awards are the longest running and one of the most prestigious green awards in the UK, recognising environmental excellence, innovation and leadership in the business world. G24i had to overcome a record number of entrants to this year’s awards and meet the approval of the BCE technical panel – made up of distinguished representatives from UK business. The company was commended for the innovative nature of its solar cells and their ability to deliver a tangible and lasting positive impact on the global environment, as well as for the company’s commitment to sustainability across its entire business.
