Abstract:
New developments with dye-sensitised photovoltaic material enable decreased costs and, through their use with consumer devices, the benefits of reduced environmental impact. In the course of time, the environmental impact of primary batteries that are discharged, subsequently replaced, and only partly recycled, will be decreased by replacing them with renewable energy systems.
